Dove Cottage Day Hospice at Oakham Grange Barleythorpe Rutland
Dove Cottage Rutland is reopening its day care services from a new base on the 1st of June 2021.
DOVE Cottage is delighted to announce that Oakham Grange has kindly offered temporary accommodation for its day care in their amazing new home at Barleythorpe. The hospice has teamed up with the family-run care home, where its nursing services and well-being activities will take place for the next three months.
Dove’s tenancy on its beautiful premises at Ridlington draws to a close soon, and Oakham Grange has come to the hospice’s rescue.
Referrals for anyone living with a life-limiting condition, in need of a day’s respite, are now being received.
Carers value our respite service and guests enjoy the opportunity to share experiences with others in a similar situation.
Referral to Dove comes mainly through medical practitioners, but individuals can also contact us directly as a ‘self referral’.
There is no charge to people who use our service. We are fully dependent on generous donations and fundraising activities. We have had a number of local businesses who have chosen us as their charity of the year.

Fundraising is so important. Without help from our supporters Dove Cottage Day Hospice couldn’t provide the vital hospice care and services we offer. All our services are free of charge to those living in this area who are suffering from a life threatening or life limiting illness.
